The Steamy Origins of Full House

Everywhere you look, people are buzzing about Full House lately. But the Full House we know today is much different than the original concept. Full House was almost House of Comics.

The idea of House of Comics was to tell the story of the zany misadventures that ensue when two comics, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier live in a house together.

The premise did not sit well with the family-oriented networks, and was therefore changed to kid friendly “Full House.” For some reason, “House of Comics” wasn't “family friendly” enough for ABC.

No Bob Saget Danny Tanner? Bullshit.

After reviewing the script and surveying trends in successful shows, ABC decided to rework the script into something more family friendly.

So here's another fun fact: Dave Coullier and Bob Saget use to draw penises all over the scripts. It was almost as if “House of Comedians” was an unstoppable force that only existed backstage in a secret language comprised entirely of phallus doodles.

Also, Dave Coullier loves to fart and the set would constantly reek of his flatulance.
