You're Eating Poop Now Because You Left The Seat Up

There is a legitimate purpose for the lid of your toilet bowl that sparks so many household arguments. Lets say you left the seat up. It's okay. Millions of Americans leave the seat up plenty of times per day. Really, it's when you leave the lid up after you take a dump that's causing the horrifying side effect. When a toilet flushes, the water quickly spins and creates an invisible mist that contains both water, and yes, your poop. The poop tornado flies around your bathroom and lands directly on your toothbrushes.

Astonishingly, all the toothbrushes were speckled with microscopic fecal matter, including the ones that had never seen the inside of a bathroom. The confirmed myth unfortunately proved that there's indeed fecal matter on toothbrushes — and also everywhere else."

According to a 2012 study, the “aerosol effect” associated with the magical flushing droplets contaminated with diarrhea bacteria can reach up to 10 inches.
