A simple solution to this dilemma would be enabling and compensating RNs for both their nursing services, and waiting on you in a salary composed of their typical nurses salaries plus gratuities. The gratuities would be added to the patient’s bill, yet not covered by their health care provider. Patients choosing to “opt out” of this service will be educated on individual patient food and beverage responsibilities, allowing the RN “wait staff” to dedicate more of their time to patients signed up for their services.
The acronym TIPS stands for “To insure prompt service.” In a life or death situation, nurses should always be expected to provide exemplary healthcare services, but this is impossible when they patients anticipate a fresh cup of coffee with they call the nurse, rather than a lifesaving shot of insulin.

Allow the men and women certified health care professionals to make your stay as comfortable as possible by changing your sheets often, and adding a sweet touch of a chocolate mint on your pillow. Patients suffering from diabetes or other ailments with a sensitivity to sugar will be provided with a sugar-free alternative.
Entertainment Services
Our staff understands the monotony of your stay, and will do our best to assist you with any technical difficulties with the television assigned to your room. If the television is malfunctioning, you will have the preference of being moved into a room with working equipment. There will be plenty of patients who have foolishly chosen to “opt-out” of these special services that we can put in your room with broken TV.
